THOMAS C. McMACKIN ANSWERS FINAL CALL

Aged Fairfield Resident Had Been in Failing Health for Some Time.

Fairfield lost one of its most respected citizens shortly before midnight Tuesday when Thomas C. McMackin passed away at his home on West Delaware street here. Mr. McMackin, one of the oldest residents of the county, was aged ninety-one years.

Mr. McMackin had been in failing health for a long time suffering with ailments incident to his advanced age. His condition had become much weaker the past few weeks and he had been spending most of his time in bed.

Mr. McMackin for many years was one of Wayne county's best known funeral directors and embalmers. He was well known as cabinet maker, and had served Wayne county as its coroner many years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted at two o'clock Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist church by Rev. Cameron Harmon and Rev. Ira C. Boyts. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. The body will remain at the Haefele-Dixon funeral home until the funeral hour.

Mr. McMackin is survived by his widow and one son, Fred.

Mr. McMackin was born in Jasper Township, May 8th, 1849 and would have been ninety-two next May.
