PEORIA-Regina Stewart, 91 of Rosewood Care Center in Peoria, passed away there at 4:20 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2006.
Born August 15, 1915 in Galesburg, IL to John and Nina Serio Cheneler.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda (Jim) Bunce of Peoria; one son, Philip (Mary) Stewart of Peoria; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter Cheneler, Alphonse Cheneler of Peoria, IL and Lee Cheneler of Deland, FL; one sister, Sarah Kempker of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and an infant sister.
Regina was a Bookkeeper for R.L.I. Insurance for many years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, it's Altar and Rosary Society and was a Secular Franciscan.
Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel. Rev. Jason Gray officiated. Wright & Salmon Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Entombment was in Resurrection Mausoleum.
