She is survived by her husband Tom, her daughter Donna Acheson and husband Jay, her son Bryan Hodges and wife Dana, her son Cody Allen and wife Stephanie, her brother Stanley Wilson and wife Judy, mother in law Jesselyn Allen, sister and brother in-law, Martha and Tom Dye, brother and sister in-laws, Nelson and Deborah Allen and Richard and Anita Allen, 7 grandchildren Anna, Jeff and Derek Acheson, Paden, Jorden and Landen Hodges, Gavin Allen and a sibling to be born in November, 5 great grandchildren Morgan Hobbs, Chase, Destiny, Emma and Madalyn Acheson, and a host of family and friends.
Patty Jo worked at the Bank of Urbana for 40+ years, retiring in 2004 to spend time working in her garden, tending to her roses, and attending any event her grandkids were involved in. She and Tom were very involved in the beginning of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church doing anything and everything to make a church home for their community. Until her health failed her, you would find her cheering at Skyline basketball games, attending her monthly card parties with her lifelong friends, fishing or golfing with Tom, even scoring a hole in one on August 3, 2007. Patty Jo and Tom celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on July 11th. Tom lovingly took care of Pat doing everything to make her comfortable and happy. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved cooking for her family and making cookies with her beloved grandchildren.
Burial in Hopewell Cemetery, Tunas.
