BECKER, Vera Passed away peacefully at Nithview Community on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in her 96th year. Vera was born in Wilmot Township, a daughter of the late Reinhardt Heldman and former Louise Berg. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Becker who predeceased her in 1990. Loving mother of Barbara Becker of New Hamburg, David Becker of St. Thomas, Peter Becker of Grand Bend and Edward Becker of New Hamburg. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Nyle and Ingrid Heldman of Barrie and Eileen McIntyre of Elmira. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by brother Roland Heldman and first wife Rose and second wife Ruby, sister Anna and Herb Gifford, brothers-in-law Harvey and Florence Becker, Bruce McIntyre, sister-in-law Lillian and Nelson Seyler. Vera was an active and involved member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed volunteering with numerous organizations on New Hamburg and area. She loved her gardens and her flowers. Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 3357 Erb's Road, Philipsburg on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Joanna Miller officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
