Neal Jack Bennett, 63, of Glenrock died Sept. 5 at his home following a long illness. He was the son of Clate and Oda Bennett. He moved to Wyoming with his parents and was reared and educated in Wheatland and Casper. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942, and served in the European theater during World War II. Following his discharge in 1946, he returned to Casper. On April 5, 1947, he married Ruth Newman and the couple made their home in Casper where he worked at the Standard Refinery. In 1955 they moved to Cheyenne where he entered the construction business and later moved to Lander. In 1961, he moved to Glenrock where he worked on the construction of the Dave Johnston Power Plant. In 1965, Bennett was employed by the Bureau of Reclamation in Glenrock, retiring in 1982. Bennett was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Besides his widow of Glenrock, he is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sue Houk and Jackie Danaher, both of Glenrock; one brother, Norvil Bennett of Casper, and four grandchildren.
