Midvale - Raimundo Santona, 22, a Spaniard, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock when struck by northbound Orem train No. 8 on a crossing near the Jordan High School.
Santona was riding with another man in the sidecar of a motorcycle and jumped when it became apparent that the motorcycle and its sidecar would be struck by the interurban train. His companions, Angel Gill, the driver, and Julio Jacques, the other sidecar passenger, escaped uninjured.
Santona was single and had lived in Park City until a week ago, when he went to Bingham and was employed at the mines, working the night shift. They were returning to Bingham from Salt Lake when the accident occurred.
Son of Bonifacio and Contantina (Ocejo) Santona.
