Anna McKay Graves, a lifelong resident of Malone, Wash., passed away peacefully on July 19, 2014. Anna was born March 5, 1912. She graduated valedictorian from Elma High School in 1930 and went on to attend the Metropolitan School of Business in Seattle. She worked for Mumby Lumber for several years. Anna married Perry Graves in February of 1938 and raised five children on their family farm in Malone. She was preceded in death by her husband Perry, daughter Joyce Blanck, grandchildren Danielle Foster, Deborah Blanck, Travis Ochsner and Chayson Colley-Jones. Anna is survived by her children Marie Jones of Elma, Martha O'Grady of Normandy Park, Philip (Nancy) Graves of Malone and Elaine (Mickey) Denny of Sequim, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Anna was a lifelong member of Olympic Christian Center in McCleary and enjoyed gardening, playing piano, sewing, reading and playing games. She kept up her sense of humor until the very end. A memorial service in Anna's honor will be held at the Olympic Christian Center in McCleary at 11 o'clock in the morning on July 23, 2014 with a graveside service at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at the Masonic Cemetery in Elma with a luncheon to follow.
