Jerry Lee Stevenson

On July 18, 2014, Jerry Lee Stevenson, a choice man of God, returned home to the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed.

Jerry was born in Shelley, Idaho surrounded by a loving family and keen memories of his family and riding his horse Silver. Jerry attended Utah State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. During that time he met his future wife, and on May 29, 1963 Jerry and Dora Ann Holt were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They settled in Roy, Utah, where they raised their three children. Family mattered most to Jerry, and he created many memories.

Jerry was a devoted and life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many callings throughout his life, including Bishop and counselors in the Stake Presidency. He was happiest when he was in the service of his fellow men and touched many lives. Jerry left a lasting impression on those he came in contact with. Those who got to know Jerry well were blessed to see and feel the kind, generous and loving example of Christ-like love.

Jerry had a tremendous work ethic, whether it was for his Church callings or in his professional life. Following college, he had a 40 year career with State Farm Insurance. When he retired, Jerry found himself in the car business helping others.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Evan Glenn and Camille Osborn Stevenson, a brother Dick Stevenson, and a sister Betty Priest. Surviving Jerry are his wife, Ann, children Brian and wife Tiffany, Scot, Julie Ann and husband Dan Pelton, and two grandsons, Edwin and Graydon. Jerry is also survived by siblings Evan Stevenson, Joanne Kapp, and Brent Stevenson.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
