Charles Lincoln Jackson, 88, of 272 Ridge Road, Wethersfield, died at his home after a brief illness. Born in Hartford, he lived here all his life. He was employed at the Hartford Post Office for more than 45 years before his retirement in 1945 as supervisor of carriers. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Civil Employees and a member of the Court Ericson, Foresters of America. He leaves a sister, Mrs Alfred J. Norton of Springfield, MA, and a brother, Arthur A Jackson of San Mateo, California. He is predeceased by his wife, Hulda Skoog Jackson and their son, Lt. Eugene A Jackson who was killed over Germany during WWII. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the James T. Pratt Funeral Home, 71 Farmington Avenue, with the Rev. Clinton R Jones officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Hartford.
