Services for Janie C. "Patsy" Moore, 97, of Tyler, will be on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Dean Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Wickham officiating.
Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery in Smith County under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moore passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, in Tyler.
She was born May 25, 1917, in Tyler to Alonzo and Tennie Wood Clark.
Mrs. Moore was one of the oldest members of Dean Baptist Church and was also in the first graduating class of Hogg Middle School in Tyler. She loved roses and was known to be a great seamstress.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hayden Lee Moore Sr.; three sisters; and six brothers.
She is survived by her loving family including her daughters, Sylvia Jones and husband Lemmie, of Tyler, and Pattie Clark Copeland and husband, Joe, of Tyler; son, Hayden Lee Moore and wife Jane, of Tyler; grandchildren, Brenda Jones Gips, Beverly Pottkotter, Jennifer Moore Gaston, Cleve Moore, Renee Clark London and Blake Mason; great-grandchildren, Darrell Lawson Jr., Maggie Pottkotter, Hayden Pottkotter, Garrison Pottkotter, Quincy Gips, Jordan Gips, Peyton Moore, Lucy Moore, Madison Clark Reeves and husband Jeramy, Mackenzie Clark London, David Luke London, Gunner Mason and Rachel Mason; and a great-great-grandson, Ryker Reeves on the way.
Pallbearers will be Cleve Moore, Darrell Lawson Jr., Hayden Pottkotter, Garrison Pottkotter, Blake Mason and Luke London.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Dean Baptist Church.
If desired, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice . .
