Rachel W. Boyd, 70, East 21st Street, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at her home of natural causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home with the Revs. David Spears and Gene Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be from noon until time for the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at New Ebenezer Cemetery.
A native of Christian County, she was born Aug. 24, 1943, the daughter of the late Arl and Ella Larue Dukes.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Ministries.
Her husband, Dorris E. Boyd, died in 1981.
Four children, Bobby Harris, Virgil Ray Harris, Mary Harris and Jerry Harris, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Sidney (Laura) Boyd, Dorris (Jennifer) Boyd and David Boyd, all of Hopkinsville, and Tony (Kathy) Harris, Texas; four daughters, Rita Harris, Mrs. Tim (Betty) Bearley, and Mrs. Leonard (Cinda) Davis, all of Hopkinsville, Mrs. Tim (Sandy) Wingfield, Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Patsy Naylor, Hopkinsville, and Mrs. Lawrence (Shirley) Rager, Elizabethtown; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
