Keatchie, LA-Graveside services celebrating the life of James Bruce Bandy, 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Minister Darwin Hunter. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

James was born on September 6, 1942 in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away on July 18, 2014 at his home in Keatchie, LA. Mr. Bandy was a loving a devoted husband, father and Papaw. He was a strong-willed man who was a great caretaker for his family. James enjoyed yardwork, gardening and fishing. Mr. Bandy retired after 47 years with SWEPCO.

Mr. Bandy was preceded in death by his parents, Eaph and Gladys Bandy; daughter, Lisa Pair and son, James Quinton Bandy.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of James are his wife of 50 years, Gay Bandy; sister, Janice Cruthirds and husband Robert of Columbus, MS; brother-in-law, Allen Vestal and wife Bernice of Temple, TX; grandaughter, Lori Bandy of Keatchie, LA and grandson, Billy Bandy of TX. Mr. Bandy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
