Mrs. Louise Smith Hubbard, 93, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at Heardmont Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hubbard was the daughter of the late Wattie and Pearl Matthews Smith. She was the widow of the late Ellis G. Hubbard.
Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her sister, Wattie Nell Pierce of Elberton; two step-children: Ellis "Bubba" Hubbard, Jr. of Elberton, and Connie Novack of Hartwell; and seven grandchildren.
She also leaves behind nieces: Jean Scarborough of Elberton, Shirley Hendricks of Watkinsville, Eva Saxon of Lexington, and Peggy Phillips of Greenwood, South Carolina; and one nephew, William Boswell of Elberton.
Mrs. Hubbard was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis G. Hubbard; a sister, Montine Boswell; and two brothers, Doc Smith and Doris E. Smith.
A graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Hubbard's life was held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. A time of visitation was held at Hicks Funeral Home on Tuesday just prior to the graveside service.
