Reverend Chadwick Julius Allen Reverend Chadwick Julius Allen, age 81, met his Heavenly Father Tuesday morning at home surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Harrison and Inez Skipper Allen and by a brother, James P. Allen. Reverend Allen grew up in Mullins, South Carolina. He served in the United States Air Force for five years. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1960 and from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1969. He pastored several churches over a 50 year span and retired after 18 years from his beloved Selma Baptist Church. After retirement from the pastorate, he taught at Johnston Community College for several years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 10 AM in Selma Baptist Church. Burial will be at 4 PM in the Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins, SC. The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC Friday night from 6 to 8 PM. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Small Allen; children, Terry Allen Keen of Princeton, Myia Allen Carreiro and husband Michael of Iwakuni, Japan, Chadwick Kristian "Kritch" Allen and wife Toni of Kenly; grandchildren, Joseph Matthew Nash, Chadwick Jacob Nash and wife Erin, Ashlyn Dyanne Coelho-Allen, Sarah Grayson Carreiro, Michael Harrison Carreiro, Joseph Williamson Carreiro, Chadwick Anderson Carreiro, Zoe Tuchscherer and Sky Tuchscherer; great grandson Chadwick Jackson Nash; sister Virginia Allen Peacock of Florence, SC; and brothers Richard B. Allen and wife Jimmie Kay of Boudon, GA, Arthur H. Allen and wife Judy of Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Selma Baptist Church, 1500 N.
