Mrs. Jennie L. Haas Baatz, 71, of Palatka, Fla., a former Lehigh County resident, died yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, where she was admitted Monday after being brought from Florida by ambulance. She was the wife of Frank C. Baatz. Mrs. Baatz had lived in Palatka eight years. She was born in Breinigsville, a daughter of the late Carolus and Louisa Frey Haas. She lived in Fullerton for 40 years. She was of the UCC faith. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Miriam Baatz, Fullerton, and Evelyn, wife of S. Lowell Hoxie, Rutherford, N.J.; a son, Charles F., Fullerton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the R. P. Haas Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Fullerton. Viewing will be 7-9 p.m. tomorrow.
