Donald George Bond, 88 of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Shangri-La in Blue Springs, Missouri. On August 31, 1925 he was born in Olean, Missouri the son of the late George Pinkney and Beulah (Baysinger) Bond. On October 24, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri he was united in marriage to Eleanor Mae (Law) Bond who survives of the home. Other survivors, Son, Kirk Bond of Independence, MO Daughter, V. Renee Harris & Husband David of Marietta, GA Four Grandchildren, Maeghan, Kyle, Natalie & Elissa Two Daughters, Janice Elaine Bond & Rita Mae Walther preceded him in death. Donald served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Albany during World War II. Visitation will be Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Spring Garden Cemetery in Eugene, MO. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
