A World War II veteran, serving in the European Theater – France, Belgium and Germany, Niles W. Drage, fought a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease. At 82, he passed peacefully at his home. Born in Salina, Utah, the oldest son of William Drage and Adell Rasmussen, he received his formal education in the Spanish Fork School. On March 27, 1942, he married Ada (Faye) Henderson. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 5, 1947. An active member of the LDS Church, he served in various calling. For many years he served with the Blackhawk Encampment and was a long-time member of the American Legion. Niles was employed at Geneva Steel for 36 plus years.

Surviving member include his children: Wayne (Jolene), Barry (Jackie), Shane (Judy), and Sue (Russ) Hortin, and a bonus daughter, Debbie Adams; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Karen Hermansen. A brother, Don, and a sister, Rhea Daly predeceased Niles.
