Clarice Isobel Miller, 97, passed from this life into her eternal life in heaven on July 20, 2014, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio. She was born on November 6, 1916, to Melvin and LaVaun (Light) Hilty, who preceded her in death.
She was a loving wife to George Fruchey whom she married on April 21, 1935, and he died January 10, 1966. Later in life, she found love again and married Irvin J. Miller on September 6, 1968 and he died February 17, 2002.
Mrs. Miller graduated from Pandora High School, class of 1934. She was a faithful member of the former United Church of Christ, which is currently known as the Columbus Grove Christian Church. She was also a devoted member of the Lion's Club, Columbus Grove. Clarice immensely enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and making homemade candy and noodles. She was a loyal and passionate fan of OSU football, the Cincinnati Reds and the Columbus Grove Bulldogs.
She is survived by two step-sons: Jon (Louise) Miller and Greg (Nate) Miller; one step-daughter Carolyn Elias; four grandchildren: Becky(Randy) Danser, Robin Lane, Lance (Shannon) Seyer and Shannon (Steven) Shisler; eleven step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren and seven great step grandchildren.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her two daughters: Jacquelin Dunlap and Betty L. Seyer; one brother: Melvin Hilty, Jr.; two step-sons: Thomas and Richard Miller and one step grandson Chris.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, with Pastor Geoffrey Eubank officiating. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
