Darrell Wayne Peters, 59, of Decatur died 5:23p.m. Sunday (August 20, 1995) in St. Francis Hospital, Peoria.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery. Memorials: donor's choice.

Mr. Peters was born in Shelbyville on August 25, 1935, the son of Samuel and Dorthie Houston Peters. He was formerly employed by Superior Welding for 26 years and then owned and operated Peters Machine Company for 12 years, retiring on September 1, 1992. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Greater Decatur Bowling Association and Unity Church. He was an avid bowler and fisherman, and was a Cubs fan. He married Mary L. Easter on June 30, 1956.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, sons, David Wayne Peters and wife Clauda of Decatur; Mark Edward and wife Shelly of Mt. Zion; Dan Alan and wife Gina df Decatur; five grandchildren, Adam, Tiffany, Jake, Elizabeth and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
