Frank Frey, Hotel Owner Died Shortly After Noon
Frank Frey, 55, manager of the Hotel Kit Carson, died shortly after noon today after having suffered a severe heart attack this morning.
Mr. Frey, who has been in the hotel business all of his life, came to La Junta 10 years ago to operate the Hotel Kit Carson which had just been built by the Elks Lodge. The building was constructed under his supervision and many of his ideas incorporated in the plans.
He operated a hotel at Lyons, Kansas before coming to La Junta.
He was married eight years ago and is survived by his wife, Clara K. Kiefer Frey, and his mother, Mrs. Tania Frey, who was associated with him in the hotel business.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge and Rotary Club.
Peacock Funeral Home has charge of funeral arrangements which will not be completed until relatives arrive in La Junta.
