Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Whitmire Bramlett of Winona will be at 2:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, July 23, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in
Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Bro. Jack Marshall and Bro. Eddie Dodd will officiate
the services.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 22, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bramlett, 80, died at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson on Sunday,
July 20. She was born February 26, 1934, to the late Jim Tom and Annie Mae Sykes
Shaw. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winona.
Mrs. Bramlett enjoyed crossword puzzles and her dog, J.R.; and loved spending time
with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands,
Joseph Truman Whitmire and William Nathan Bramlett; her sons, Joseph Terry
Whitmire and James Robert Whitmire; and a brother, Robert Earl Shaw.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Whitmire of Winona and Belinda Hamilton
and her husband, Jimmy, of Winona; one brother, Charlie Eugene Shaw; three
grandchildren, Shirley Hamilton of Carrollton, Jake Hamilton (Kayla) of Vaiden, and
Teri Shaw (Jonathan) of Pearl; two great-grandchildren, Drew and Hailey Hamilton;
and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jake Hamilton, Jimmy Hamilton, Jonathan Shaw, Ken Rosamond,
Bubba Shaw, Terry Woods, and Mike Woods.
