" Mr. Henry Devine Clinger, 82, of Hughes Springs, TX. died May 5. Resident of Hughes Springs, Texas 8 years, former resident of San Antonio for 41 years. Mr. Clinger was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was a member of the Retired Railroad Association, and a veteran of WW I. Survivors: Sister, Mrs. Julia Finney, Hughes Springs, Texas & several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 6. Reeder Davis Funeral Chapels in Hughes Springs. Graveside services and interment will be held 3 p.m. Friday, May 9 , Mission Burial Park. Rev. Fred Armstrong officiating. Local arrangements by Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main ( 226-7201)."
Henry never married. He worked as a driver for a moving company and Watchman for Missouri-Pacific R.R. Prior to his death he had lived with his sister and family in Hughes Springs, TX. for 8 years.
