Lydia "Marcella" (Ward) Clements, 75, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Sunday evening at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany surrounded by her family.

She was born in Orange County, Indiana and grew up in the town of Leipsic, she was a 1957 graduate of Orleans High School. She was a current member of DePauw Memorial UMC in New Albany and had previously attended Hardinsburg UMC and Orleans Christian Church. She retired from the US Post Office after 38 years. She worked in several post office locations including Hardinsburg, New Albany, Louisville and many small towns throughout southern Indiana. She and her husband Ronny Clements owned and operated a service station in Hardinsburg. She was a strong Christian woman who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed many activities including music, gardening, selling Avon and baking cakes.

Survivors include: Son, Barry Clements (Nannette) Hardinsburg, IN; Daughter, Rhonda Iglesias (Walter) New Albany, IN; Brothers: Hycel Ward (Vera) Bloomington, IN; Greg Ward (Darlene) Orleans, IN; Her grandchildren: Tyler, Jordon and Brandon Clements, Stephanie, Selena and Jonathan Iglesias and Geraldin Marquez. Great-Granddaughter: Zoe Marquez

She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Wilma (Trinkle) Ward and her sister Marceline Ward-Walton and brother in law Jim Walton
