She was born on March 6, 1925 in Pell City Ala.; the daughter of the late Minor & Bertha (Workman) Wilks. She was educated in the schools of Alabama & came to Kenosha in 1953. She married James Hedges on June 28, 1942 in Pell City, Ala.; they later divorced. In 1975 she married Fred Leonard in Kenosha. Flora worked as a cook at Oage Thomsen's Restaurant for 32 years.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jim (Ellen) Hedges of Somers, Jerry Wayne (Judy) Hedges of Kissimee, Fla.; 4 daughters, Shirley (John Calverley) Oseman of Kenosha, Brenda Nelson of Racine, Linda (Kraut) Miletic of Holly Springs, Ga.& Joyce (Rick) Ade of Somers; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband James in 1995, second husband Fred in 1996, 3 brothers Willard, Tom, John, 2 sisters, Maude Mills, & Willa Hunter.
A memorial service will be Tues. Feb. 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from Kenosha Funeral Services. Private Inurnment, Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
