COMANCHE - Robert V Spies 74 died Saturday of a heart attack while hunting on a lease near Sen Saba Graveside services were Wednesday at San Benito - He was born in Lowell, Ohio. While working for the Texas Federal Inspection Services he started coming to the Comanche area during peanut seasons in the 1960. In 1970 he end his wife moved to Comanche from the Valley and lived here until building a home on Lake Proctor. He retired in 1979 and he and his wife devoted their time to golf other outdoor a porte gardening end yard work. He was a Methodist, a member of the PAR Men's Golf Association and he and his wife were longtime co-chairmen of the popular Guys and Dolls Annual Golf Tournament at PAR Survivors include hie wife Syble Myer of Comanche a eon Robert Spies of Fredericksburg, two daughters Julia Bertholf of Mercedes and Susan Wisdom of La Ferria and seven grandsons.
