Janie Lou Altman, loving wife, mother and granny passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Effingham County Hospital. Janie was born in Brooklet, Georgia but lived in Effingham County for a number of years. She was a retired book keeper with 28 years of services at Piggly Wiggly and was a member of the Garden City Primitive Baptist Church. Janie is preceeded in death by her mother and father, Josh Hodges and Susie Woodcock; two brothers, Terrell and Darrel Hodges; two grandchildren, Shelley Williamson and Jason Kicklighter; great grandchild, Shaelyn Williamson and brother-in-law, O'Neil Scott.
