Roy Allen Frazier, 50, of Rockford, IL died peacefully, early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2014 in his home after a long battle with diabetes. Roy was born October 25, 1963 in Rockford, IL the son of Sonny and Ruth (Bagley) Frazier. He graduated from Jefferson High School and was employed as a machinist for Gates Manufacturing for many years prior to his illness. He married Marie A. Haines on April 18, 2003 in Durand, IL. Roy attended Heartland Community Church; was passionate about evangelizing God's Good News; riding motorcycles and was an avid car buff. Roy also was a lover of horses and dogs.

Roy is loved and will be missed by his wife, Marie; mother, Ruth Frazier and father Sonny Frazier all of Rockford; children, Rodney and Tia; stepchildren, Karrie (Trent) Pace of Poplar Grove, Melissa (Jon) Dickens of Rockford, Ted (Karen) Frazier of Florida, Eva Frazier of Rockford; grandchildren, Amanda, Faith and Bo Dickens and Brandon Pace, and new baby granddaughter, Ada; sister, Penny (Pat) Glavin of Roscoe, brothers, Rick (Kim) Frazier and Chad (Tanya) Frazier both of Rockford; half brother, Vince (Deanna) Frazier of Frostproof, FL;several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles and many friends. Roy is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 in the chapel of Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Road, Rockford, IL with Rev. Matt Kitchen officiating. Memorial gathering will be from 1:30 to service time Sunday at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be given in care of Roy's family.
