Funeral services for Mr. Robert M. Bassett, age 34, of Dunnelon, Florida and formerly of Grayson, were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 1996 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Don Boyett officiating. Interment followed in the Little Star Cemetery at Grayson.
Mr. Bassett, a construction worker, died Friday, September 20, 1996 at the Shains Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida following a brief illness.
Robert Miley Bassett was born on December 15, 1962 to the union of Emril Sediel "Bud" and Carrie Dale Walters Bassett of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Carrie Dale and Johnnie Grant of Grayson; four brothers, Larry, Billy and Ricky Bassett, all of Grayson, and Mike Bassett of Dunnelon, Florida; three sisters, Gayle Dortch of Columbia, Joyce Price of Grayson and Mary Mercer of Granbury, Texas.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
