Cecelia C. Babione, 89, of Fremont, passed away at her home Thursday, July 17, 2014. She was born October 24, 1924 to Albert and Martha (Hofacker) Rock in Monroeville, Ohio. Cecelia is a graduate of Clyde High School, and worked at Schwan's Meat Market, Isaly's Ice Cream & Dale's Market. She married Eugene Babione at Clyde St. Mary's on June 12, 1948, and he survives.

Cecelia was the former Vice President of the Marian Society, had a strong catholic faith, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She loved music, and would sing along as her sister, Martha, would play the organ. Cecelia also enjoyed going to garage sales, canning, and shopping with her sisters. She loved her friends and family, and would often go to McDonald's and have a cup of coffee with her friends. Cecelia was the founder of the family Bingo parties, and she would bring potato salad to family chicken BBQ dinners, which was her specialty.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene; sons; William (Lavonne) Babione of Fremont, OH, Thomas Babione of Westpalm Beach, FL, Charles Babione of Fremont, OH, sisters; Martha Rogers of Clyde, OH, Patricia Miller of Helena, OH; three special cousins; Ed Pfleiger, Anna Mae Robinson, both of Norwalk, OH, Flora Miller of Perrysburg, OH, grandchildren; William R., Brian N., and Brooks G. Babione, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Berdella Held and Madeline Dayringer.

Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2014 from 3-7pm, with a rosary service at 6:30pm at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service at 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph's Church, the American Cancer Society, or donor's choice.
