Clifton M. Langston, 88, of 1023 Wrenwood Lane, retired merchant, died at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital East. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. He was a member of Grey Road Baptist Church and a Mason. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Carrie Cochran Langston; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Jeffers of Macclenny, Fla., Miss Christine Langston and Mrs. Lucille Rhodes, both of Memphis, and Mrs. Louise Shelton of Houston, Texas; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jeannette Francis of Memphis and Mrs. Norma Stinson of Covington; three stepsons, R.A. Cochran, Bill Cochran and Jimmy Cochran; a brother, J.P. Langston and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Hodge, all of Memphis, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
