Andrew Houston "Brownie' Holt, 83, Newport passed away July 15, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville following a lengthy illness.
He was a Veteran of the US Army. He was retired from American Enka.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Dyke Holt.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Virginia Buckner Rea Holt. Sons and daughters-in –law: Donnie and Selva Holt, Ronnie and Rita Holt, granddaughters Tina Stepp and Beth Collins all of Bybee. He also leaves the following step-children: Donnie and Judy Rea of Newport amd Doug and Tammy Rea of Jefferson City. Step-grandchildren: Brandi Rea of Florida, Houston and Kinsler Rea of Newport, Brandon Rea of Jefferson City, and Chris Rea of White Pine. Brother, Lemmon Holt of Cleveland, Ohio. Special friends, Pete and Gail Styles of Newport.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Thursday July 17, 2014 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Winters officiating . Family will receive friends from 5-7pm prior to service. Military graveside services will be at Fowlers Grove at 11am Friday July 18, 2014.
