Born August 25, 1916, she was a 1934 graduate of Clear Fork High School. After attending Concord College she served as a teacher in the Raleigh County School System.
Beloved wife, mother and, aunt, Edna loved her coin collection, reading, bird watching and basketball. To all the family and friends who knew Aunt Edna and Uncle Ben, the door was always open and Edna took special pride in seeing that no one ever left her house hungry.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; brothers Sam, Horace and John Robert Robinson and sister, Annabelle Dickens.
She is survived by son, Ben (Maggie) Henry of Greenwood, Ind.; daughter, Carol Kelley (Kerry) of Seth; grandchildren, Dale Henry and Kelly (Ben) Miller of Greenwood, Ind., and Derek Kelley of Seth, and one great-grandchild, Benjamin Scott Henry of Greenwood, Ind.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Pauley officiating. Following the services, Edna will be laid to rest beside her husband Ben.
