Leslie C. Higgins, age 82, of Flat Rock, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan.
Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11:00 am. Rev. Dana R. Strall will officiate the service. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township, Michigan.
Born on November 25, 1931 in Golden Pond, Kentucky, he was the son of Lesley and Viola (Nunn) Higgins. On May 11, 1952 he married Donna Anable in First United Methodist Church, Flat Rock, MI .
Les was employed with Ford Motor Company as a Engineer for 37 1/2 years until retiring in 1985.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Flat Rock, MI.
Les was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jamie Higgins.
Surviving are wife, Donna Higgins of Flat Rock; son, Scott (Sandra) Higgins of Flat Rock; daughter, Susan Higgins of Flat Rock; 4 grandchildren and 4, great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Cancer Research.
