He was a veteran of WWII (Battle of the Bulge). He was a longtime resident of Staunton, VA, and he lived in the Leesburg area of Florida for over 20 years. He was survived by his wife, Bonnie Latta; his sister, Nancy Montgomery; two sons, Larry Latta (Betsey) and Latta; three step-sons, Allen Cockcroft (Diane) Arnold Mann and Joe Cockcroft (Mry); 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchidren. His funeral was officiated by The Rev. Cecil Brown.
