Shadie Livingston Beardall, "Shea", Loving Mother and Devoted Christian passed away Wednesday, August 8th at the age of 72.

A native of Orlando,FL, Shadie was delivered by her uncle the late Dr. Hal Beardall at the family home at 214 Lucerne Circle. She was the only daughter of the late William Beardall, mayor of Orlando from 1941 to 1952, and the late Shadie Hamer Beardall.

She was an avid horsewoman and former member of the Junior League and Rosiland Club. She was a graduate of Stevens College and Stetson University. In her college years she was selected as first runner up in the Miss Orange Bowl Pageant and assisted her father in hosting President Truman during his visit to Orlando.

Her later years were devoted to sharing her love of Jesus and as an active member of the Heartland Christian Center. She was a prolific writer and shared her Christian poems with family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Rebecca Davis of Boone, NC, Shadie Creech of Orlando, and Harald Creech of Woodbridge, VA; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Her brother, the late Hal Beardall, was declared missing in action while serving during the Korean Conflict; her brothers Jon B. Beardall and William Beardall survive her.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2002, 2 pm at the Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home 2811 Curry Ford Rd. Orlando. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando. Arrangements handled by CAREY HAND COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME 407-898-2561
