The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014, at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Cecilia's Church, 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, N.J. Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 20, 2014, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. Kennedy was a 20-year resident of Monmouth Junction. She graduated from Holy Family Academy and Jersey City State College and was a teacher.
She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Monmouth Junction.
Daughter of the late William Skorupski, she is survived by her husband, James Kennedy; two daughters, Kelly Scofield and Courtney Kennedy; her mother, Alma (Winters) Skorupski; one brother, William J. Skorupski, and one grandson, Matthew Scofield.
