TERRE HAUTE — Richard Eugene Falls, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away at 6:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Decatur, Ill., on Sept. 12, 1930, to Herbert Lee Falls and Purrm Kline Falls.

He is survived by his seven children, Janet Leslie, David Lee Falls and wife Kris, Kenneth Falls and wife Barbara, Diana Miller and husband James, Steven Falls and wife Charlene, Linda Litts and husband Allen, and James Edward Falls. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Lents Falls; and one brother, Herbert Lee Falls Jr.

A celebration of life service will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. with Andy Weil officiating. The family will be receiving guests on Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made to the American Diabetes Association.
