Mrs. Ruel Spurr, 85, nee Enriqueta Pina, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Deacon Pat Klein officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Spurr was born Feb. 20, 1920, in San Antonio, the daughter of Julian Pina and Elida Escobedo Pina. She married Ruel Spurr on Dec. 15, 1958, in Brownsville and he survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Spurr is survived by a daughter, Maria Baucom of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, four sisters and spouses, including Alfonso and Delia Pina of Elgin, Cruz Sellers and Elida and Nieves Puente, all of San Antonio; Ofelia Magoon of Kansas City, and Eustolia Cortinas of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers, Herbert Pina and Enrique Pina
