Robert C. Prewitt Jr. of San Bernardino, a native of Durango, Colorado, lived in San Bernardino for 21 years, died Saturday in a Loma Linda hospital at the age of 87. He was a self-employed Indian trader in New Mexico for 30 years and a member of the Colton Community Church. He was survived by his wife, Selma G., a son, Robert C. Prewitt III of Los Alamos, New Mexico, a daughter, Jean Freeman of Mansfield, Texas and six children and 14 great-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday in Allen-Gleason Funeral Home with private burial in Montecito Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any charity.
