Lucy Elizabeth Sanders (sometimes written Saunders) was born in Rockingham, North Carolina, on Dec 25, 1808 to William Thomas "Billy Jaybird" Sanders / Saunders and Elizabeth C "Betsy" Bellenfant. Lucy married Yelly about 1824, somewhere in Tennessee. By the 1850 Census she & Yelly were living in Giles County, Tennessee.
