She was the wife of the late Theodore R. Violette.
She was born November 20, 1918 in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Napoleon Michel and Alice Couture Michel.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church of Portsmouth and also St. Louis deFrance in Swansea. She was a member of the Violette Association and a great cook for her large family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was very devoted to her family. She had lived in Portsmouth since 1986, coming from Somerset, MA where she lived on Lafayette Street for 36 years.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard Michel and Romeo Michel; and sisters, Annette Campbell and Juliette Michaud.
She is survived by 6 sons, Robert Violette of Cooksville, TN, Paul Violette of Aiken, SC, Philippe Violette of Cooksville, TN, Leo Violette of Portsmouth, RI, Rober Violette of Alta Loma, CA and Leonard Violette of Middletown, RI; a daughter, Louise O'Neill of Portsmouth, RI; a sister, Leonette Piette of Attleboro, MA; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffington Street, Somerset, MA, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis deFrance Church, Buffington Street, Swansea, MA. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset, MA.
