He worked at Westfall's Barber Shop in Ravenswood for over 30 years.
He was a US Air Force veteran--retired Airman 1st Class, who served stateside during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors include: his wife of 54 years Dottie Nutter; sons
Jim Nutter and wife Laurie of Lynchburg, VA and Kevin Nutter of Ravenswood; nephew French O'Dell; and nieces Patty Spinks of Summerville and Janet Riley of Morgantown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Pauline Westfall of Summerville; Madeline O'Dell; brother Basil Nutter of Hominy Falls.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 12:00 to 2:00 at Roush Funeral home, with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Ravenswood cemetery with graveside Masonic Rights by the Ashton Lodge #12 and Ravenswood VFW Post 6669.
