Jeffery Lee Chandler, 60, of Fort Collins, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at his home in Fort Collins. He was born January 15, 1954 in Pueblo, Colorado the third of five children born to Robert and Marjorie Chandler. He married the love of his life, Julie and joined her family of four children, Nick, Christy (Chad), Jason, and Matt.

Jeff graduated from Pueblo Central High in 1972, and attended Southern Colorado State College. He lived in Pueblo, Boise, Idaho, and moved permanently to Fort Collins in 1988. He has been in sales throughout his life, currently as a Commercial Account Manager for Spradley Barr in Greeley, Colorado.

During high school, Jeff was involved in wrestling and drama club. His true passion lay in the outdoors. Jeff was happiest while hunting, camping, or with a fishing rod in his hand. Some of his favorite times were spent outdoors throughout Colorado, especially in his childhood summer home in Beulah, Colorado. He travel extensively from Mexico to Alaska. Many of his happiest times were with his many close friends and beloved dogs, Oblio, Jack, and Fisher. Jeff meet Julie in 1994 and they were married on the beach in Mexico in 2002. He cared deeply about his new family.

Jeff never met a stranger and left everyone a bit happier for having spent time with him. His smile and laugh will be long remembered by his family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone he met. He a most generous man. He saw the good in everyone and was the first to join in or lend a helping hand. His last act of kindness will be as a donor.

He is survived by his wife, Julie and her four children, Nick, Jason and Matt Michalski of Fort Collins and Christie Meckelburg and husband, Chad of Denver; his mother, Marjorie Chandler of Pueblo Colorado; his brothers, Jim Chandler of Clifton Park, New York, Clayton Chandler of Pueblo; his sister, Paula Tillquist and her husband, Bob of Jerome, Idaho. Jeff loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own, and he was their favorite uncle, Adam (Kelli) Tillquist of San Diego, California, Brian (Steph) Tillquist of Bakersfield California, Megan Birkby (Erich) of Denver, James and Lindsey Chandler of Clifton Park, NY, Clayton and Brittney Chandler of Pueblo. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and brother, Bobby.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Fort Collins. Arrangements are under the direction of Bohlender Funeral Chapel of Fort Collins. Friends and family may gather after the service in the foyer of the church after the services to share memories of Jeff.
