Jessie Darlene Spence, 81, died March 28, 2006, at her home, Hutchinson.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Arthur Elmo and Vada Bell Estes Washburn. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a retired secretary for Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson.
She belonged to Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
On Oct. 31, 1941, she married Leroy Spence in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Bill Spence, Oklahoma City; and a daughter, Susan Balding, McPherson; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Garry; five brothers, Elmo, Harold, Robert, Gee and Kenny Washburn; and a sister, Helen Washburn.
Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
