Age 83 of Black Earth and formerly of Barneveld, passed away on Wednesday, at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth after a long illness. He was born in Arena Township, WI to Albert & Johanna Marie (Nielsebrathen) Berg. Hank was a graduate of Arena High School. On September 15, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Witter. Ruth preceded him in death on October 22, 2013. Hank farmed north of Barneveld for over 50 years. He had a natural talent for repair and maintenance of equipment and agribusiness. In later years, he worked as a crop adjuster. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; three sisters: Christina Roessler, Bessie Heth, Mabel Tiedemann; and four brothers: Einar, Milo, Knute, and Harold Berg.
