Leanne's life tragically ended on Friday, November 12, 2004, at 4 p.m. She is survived by her ex-husband, Actor Walton Coggins, who she married in 2001. She is also survived by her mother, Peggy, and step father, Arnold Kaun of Calgary, Alberta, her brother, Jay, of Australia, and many other family and friends.

Cause of death; suicide by jumping from the 17th floor of the building she was in and dying from injuries afterwards. She may have apparently suffered from chronic depression. which led her to commit the act.
