Born March 20, 1959 in Bluefield, she was the daughter of Mrs. Velma Gillispie Bradshaw and the late Charles Albert Bradshaw. Dee was a graduate of Graham High School and attended Bluefield State College. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church were she served as a Bible School Teacher and was a member of The United Methodist Women.
Dee leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother who was her traveling partner, you hardly saw one with out the other; those also left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Cornell "Cee Cee" Cooke, Jr. of Bluefield, Va.; grandson, Taymon Cooke; and three loving foster children, Kevin, James and Kissie Lowe; a brother, Charles A. Bradshaw of Bluefield, Va.; two sisters, Sandra Lee (Michael) Johnson of Schuyler, Va., and Shelia Jo (James) Loftin of Mobile, Ala.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She will forever be remembered by the many lives she touched with warmth and living kindness.
Funeral service will take place Wednesday March 18, 2009 from the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Bluefield, Va. at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Troy Jenkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Mausoleum, Tazewell Road, Bluefield, Va.
Friends may call one hour prior to service.
