Antoinette DeFilippo Balzano, 87, of New Haven passed away April 12, 2014 in Talmadge Park. Wife of the late James M. Balzano. Mother of James M. (Georganne) Balzano, Jr. of Guilford, Paula Gsell of New Haven and the late Patricia Balzano. Grandmother of Ashley Gsell of New Haven. Daughter of the late Paul and Angelina DeFilippo. Sister of Anna Jemielity of Falls Church, VA, Carmen "Sonny" DeFilippo of Guilford and the late Pauline Mastrachio, Lena Dalia, Catherine Hawthorne, Louis and Anthony DeFilippo.
Prior to her retirement Antoinette worked for the former Gant Shirtmakers for many years.
Services will be held in St. John's Episcopal Church, 3 Trumbull Place, North Haven Friday at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private. There will be NO CALLING HOURS. Memorial Contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
