SHERMAN - Rick Baker, 51, passed away in Saturday July 12, 2014 at his home in Sherman.
Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. Father Antonio Aureus will officiate. Burial will follow at Enterprise Cemetery.
Rick was born November 8, 1962 in Sherman to Richard Walker Baker Sr. and Claire (Connor) Baker. He was married to Cindy (Cosby) Baker in Sherman on March 20, 1985. Rick worked for the City of Sherman in the water department.
Rick is survived by his wife, Cindy Baker of Sherman; son, Ricky Baker and wife Meagen of Sherman; daughter, Allison Baker of Sherman; mother, Claire Baker of Sherman; sister, Cathy Baker of Sherman; sister, Bonita Calhoun and husband Roger of Sherman; sister- in-law, Susan Henricks of Anna, brother- in-law, Bob ""Skip"" Cosby and wife Rachel of Sherman; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Walker Baker Sr.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Conrad, Craig Connor, Charles Ray Connor, Kyle Hagan, Sean Henricks, and John Krenek. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Connor, Frank Connor, and Jimmy Denison.
