Born in Moreland, Mr. Orr was the son of the late Thomas Wood and Dovie Lane Orr and the husband of the late Polly Honeycutt Orr. A veteran of World War Two, he was retired from the U.S. Army. He also was retired from Central Chevrolet and was a member of the Newnan Masonic Lodge.
A service will be today at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, James M. and Christine Orr Jr. of Summerville, S.C., Thomas W. and Darlene Orr of Roanoke, Va.; daughters and sons-in-law, Dovie Lucille Orr and Robert Soden of Jamesburg, N.J.; Margaret Orr and Richard F. Dominic of Greenville; sister, Manelle Orr of Moreland; brother, Frank W. Orr of Moreland; and grandchildren, Dawn Soden, Becky Soden, Bobby Soden, Camille Orr, Stacy Orr, Wesley Orr and Dana Orr.
